Performing Drawology: You are invited to draw upon the inspiration of other…EXHIBITION OPENS TO THE PUBLIC

On Thursday 11th February 2016, our exhibition entitled ‘Performing Drawology: You are invited to draw upon the inspiration of others’ opened to the public.
We spent the afternoon hanging the exhibition and finished it with one minute to spare! We always tell the students not to leave printing to the last minute, yet I was stood in Boots waiting for photos to be printed three hours before the exhibition opened! It didn’t help that two of the workshops were ran the morning of the exhibition opening!
I feel proud of what we achieved in the time we had – it was great to see the four drawings created by the four different workshops together – it’s amazing how different they all were.
Some of the school children and their parents from West Bridgford Infant School visited in the evening. We also created a space for the children to contribute to another collaborative drawing. This was a hit with both the children and the parents!
I would like to thank Ana Souto, Anja Bendix, Helen Hollis and Farida Maki for their help running the workshops and putting together the exhibition.
